On October 28, the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center (PPAC) will invite Philadelphia residents to snap photos and submit them for inclusion in the second annual Philly Photo Day. Whether the shot is a posed portrait taken by a professional photographer or a grainy image grabbed on a whim by someone with a cell phone, PPAC will print and display all of the photos submitted to them as part of an exhibition showcasing a true "day in the life" of the city.
PPACa nonprofit dedicated to promoting the study, practice, and appreciation of photography in the Philadelphia areaserves as a resource for both professional working photographers and amateur shutterbugs. The organization offers educational programs, provides affordable access to digital equipment, and schedules events including guest lectures and exhibits. Last year, nearly 350 people submitted pictures for Philly Photo Day, and PPAC hopes to double that number this year.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help PPAC print photos submitted by Philadelphia residents for the second annual Philly Photo Day exhibit. If G-Team members raise $400, then PPAC can print and display 400 pictures. All additional money raised will be used to print more photos, at a cost of $1 each.
